Our environmental priorities in the North West contribute towards the broader ambitionsof sustainable development. Within the region we are working with partners to reduce carbon omissions and adapt to a changing climate, increase energy efficiency , reduce waste arisings and increase recycling; enhance local environmental quality, improve leadership on natural environment issues and address deep seated rural and farming issues.
